Premium EV sedan or shooting-brake — which wins?
Both are premium Chinese EVs from dedicated EV brands, but with different priorities. The ET5 is a sedan built around NIO's swappable-battery ecosystem, with a fixed-battery version reaching 480 hp and, on the rental-only 150 kWh pack, up to 1,000 km NEDC. The Zeekr 001 is a shooting-brake with a stronger dual-motor AWD option (544 hp) and a slightly lower China entry price (from 269,800 CNY vs. the ET5's 328,000 CNY).
Choose the Zeekr 001 for outright performance and body style. Choose the NIO ET5 for sedan practicality and, where the infrastructure exists, battery swapping.
