We get asked about India regularly, and we'd rather be direct than let a generic "how to import" post imply this is as simple as it is in other markets. India drives on the left and requires right-hand-drive (RHD) vehicles for private registration — DriveSino's catalog is left-hand-drive (LHD), sourced from mainland China's domestic market. That's the first barrier.
The Second Barrier: India's Import Policy
Independent of RHD, India applies some of the strictest used-vehicle import rules of any market we deal with. We're not import-law specialists for India, and we're not going to guess at specifics we're not confident about — the responsible move is to talk to a licensed Indian customs agent about your specific situation before assuming any particular path is open.
