Which BYD compact SUV should you import?
Both are BYD compact SUVs on a similar platform, but they solve different problems. The Song Plus is the larger of the two (4,775 mm vs. 4,665 mm) and is the only one offered as a DM-i plug-in hybrid alongside its EV version, which matters in markets without reliable charging infrastructure. The Atto 3 is EV-only but is BYD's most internationally recognized nameplate, with a longer maximum CLTC range (up to 630 km vs. the Song Plus EV's 605 km) and a lower entry price in China.
Choose the Atto 3 if you want a pure EV with strong buyer name recognition. Choose the Song Plus if you want the DM-i hybrid option or slightly more interior space.
